Sunny Leone’s ‘Jism 2′ Rocks on Day 1

Indo-Canadian adult star Sunny Leone might become one among the bankable actresses of Bollywood with her first Hindi movie “Jism 2″, which has rocked the box office on the opening day.

Multi-faceted Director and screenplay writer Mahesh Bhatt’s latest offering “Jism 2″ beckons a good collection at the box office, with the first day collection reported to be 8.5 core.
Trade Analyst and film critics Taran Adarsh on Saturday took to his twitter handle about the first day collection of “Jism 2″. He wrote that the movie on Thursday previews garnered Rs 1 crore and collected Rs 7.5 crore on Friday.

“Jism 2″ is a sequel to 2003 Indian erotic thriller film directed by Amit Saxena, which also marked the debut of actor John Abraham.

“Jism 2″ grabbed a lot of attention, given that the movie features Leone, a porn star, in the lead role, which promises enough spice to the audience.

Leone plays a porn star in the movie, who is hired by a dashing intelligence officer to become a ‘Honey-trap’ for a dreaded assassin. In doing so, she not only has to confront her bitter-sweet past, but is also forced to make an impossible choice – one that will put her own life in double jeopardy.

The movie stars Randeep Hooda and Arunoday Singh in pivotal roles, besides Leone. It’s written by Bhatt and directed by his daughter Pooja Bhatt, who makes her debut as a director in Bollywood.

“Jism 2″ received thumps down from most of the critics but at the end of the day, it is not critics but the box office collections that decides whether a movie is a hit or a flop. Only time will tell if the film becomes a hit or a flop!

Ekta Kapoor’s ‘Ragini MMS’ had an optimum dose of sensuality and horror. So, when Ekta Kapoor decided to get a sequel done for the flick, she zeroed in on none other than the porn star Sunny Leone, the latest sex rage in our Tinsel town. Bollywood seems to have suited Sunny quite well as even before she finishes the first schedule of her debut Hindi film Jism 2 than she’s signed for the sequel of Ragini MMS. Tanuj Garg, the CEO of Balaji Motion Pictures announced on Twitter, “It`s out. We`ve signed the sexy Sunny Leone for RAGINI MMS 2.(sic)”. Tanuj further tweeted, “A flood of feedback on my tweet about @SunnyLeone doing RAGINI MMS-2. Lunched with her recently & thought she was remarkably rooted & warm!(sic)” Ekta Kapoor hints at the fact that the sequel will be a combo of scariness with sensuality and prefers to call her project as a scary date movie for youngsters. Like the original one, the sequel will also be based on a true story, only that the sex and sensuality will be higher.  

Sunny Leone appears in the new ad campaign for PETA

The ‘People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals’ (PETA) India have chosen Indo-Canadian porn star Sunny Leone for their next ad campaign. This particular brand new campaign shows Sunny in a white top with a wink standing next to the caption which reads:
‘Too Much Sex Can Be a Bad Thing. Sterilise your dogs and cats’.
The ad was shot by leading photographer Gaurav Sawn. Sunny, who was the 2003 Penthouse Pet of The Year, says, “I believe in not buying-and adopting. And it’s because there’s so many dogs out there that need a home, that were left on the streets. They just need that love, and if you can rescue an animal, then that’s one of the greatest gifts you can give.”
She further says, “I believe that every single dog should be spayed and neutered. You don’t want to continue the cycle of homeless dogs or cats. And spaying and neutering also keeps them healthy. It prevents them from having different diseases that they can get if they are not.”
In her house at Los Angeles, Sunny owns two rescued dogs. Her Bollywood debut flick ‘Jism 2’ has donated the sexy lingerie worn by Leone in the film to PETA for auction. The auction begins on 3rd August 2012

Confident ‘Housefull 2′ will be a blockbuster

Mumbai, March 31 (IANS) Director Sajid Khan, whose third directorial venture “Housefull 2″ is ready to hit the screens, says he is confident the film will be a blockbuster as he makes films by placing himself in the audience’s seat.

“Only a good film will work. If my film is not good then it will not work beyond Monday. But I can say it with a lot of confidence that this film (‘Housefull 2′) is a blockbuster. I am not saying this because this is my film but because I have made this film according to the audience. Every film I make, I make it as an audience,” the 40-year-old said here at a promotional event for “Housefull 2″.

Sajid says it’s the family audiences that make a film a hit.

“The day my film does not work, then no matter how many tie ups I do, it will not work at all. It will work when you people go and watch it with your family,” he said.

The cast of the film, releasing April 6, is known as ‘dirty dozen’ and it comprises Akshay Kumar, John Abraham, Riteish Deshmukh, Shreyas Talpade, Shazahn Padamsee, Jacqueline Fernandez, Asin Thottumkal, Zarine Khan, Boman Irani, Mithun Chakraborty, Randhir Kapoor and Rishi Kapoor.

Sajid says he doesn’t measure his film’s success on the basis of box office collection or reviews, rather by the audiences’ reaction.

“Quite honestly, success doesn’t mean five star rating nor does it mean box-office collection. I think all the people on the stage have faced failure and success at some point of time in their career.

“I think the most important thing in life is getting the love and acceptance of the audience. It does not always come with success. It comes with the connection of the big screen and the audience. For me, that connection is important even if I am behind the camera. So that is success for me and not reviews, awards and collections,” he added.

Mumbai: Ever since news of Indo-Canadian porn star Sunny Leone’s entry into the house of `Bigg Boss` made rounds, everyone seems to be quite inquisitive. Many have been waiting restlessly to see the babe set the temperatures soaring inside the infamous house while others have been simply waiting to see a new tamasha altogether.

However, Payal Rohatgi has made a very interesting observation. She feels that Sunny Leone has striking resemblance to Bollywood hotties Katrina Kaif and Zarine Khan. She even called them “British imports”.

Both Katrina and Zarine have Salman Khan by their side as their mentor. Even Sunny Leone had expressed her desire to work with Salman. Interestingly, the `Dabangg` Khan is co-hosting `Bigg Boss 5` along with Sanjay Dutt. So Sunny too might get a chance to turn into his protégé.

“Doesn`t Zarine Khan, Katrina Kaif and Sunny Leone look alike? All British imports in our country”, is what Payal scribbled on her micro blogging site.

But it appears as if Payal has little idea where Sunny hails from. Sunny is no doubt a foreigner but is certainly not British.

Washington: Lady Gaga has warned her fans that she would not “condone anything” against Adele, after few of her Twitter followers posted nasty messages about the British singer’s fuller figure.

The ‘Rolling in the deep’ hitmaker was recently reported to have overtaken Gaga in worldwide music sales, officially selling one in every 10 records this year.

The news did not sit well with some members of Gaga’s online following and they took to Twitter to take aim at Adele and bombard her with jibes about her weight.

“Confirmed: Gaga will not be wearing her meat dress because she is afraid Adele will eat it,” tweeted a follower.

The posts stunned the ‘Poker Face’ hitmaker and she promptly expressed her disappointment and distanced herself from the online taunts.

“Lady Gaga does not approve of bullying anyone for their physical appearance, it goes against everything she stands for. A tiny handful of fans may be letting her down,” Contactmusic quoted Gaga’s representative as telling Bbc Radio 1.

Gaga insists she is a massive fan of Adele and has wished the Brit the best as she recovers from surgery on her vocal cords.
“I didn’t speak to anyone in particular, but anyone who would say anything negative about Adele, I wouldn’t support. I love her immensely. She’s very sweet. We’ve exchanged emails about our mutual love,” she said.

“I wish her all the best for her recovery in her vocals, and I can’t wait to hear her new music. She’s an amazing success in the U.S. and in the U.K., and it’s wonderful to see such strong women thriving in pop music. I wouldn’t condone anything against Adele,” she added
